The Treaty of Waitangi

We have been learning about the Treaty of Waitangi. It was an agreement between the Maori people and the queen of England. It was signed in 1840. We are also learning about the 3 parts of the treaty, the three P's. They stand for Participation, Partnership and Protection. We've been learning about the three P's as part of the Pt England Way. We have been learning about it because it will help us achieve our goals.

Thanks for your blog about the Treaty, Shontal. I'm wanting my class to learn about it too. I think the three "ps" are a good way to remember and understand the information in the Treaty.
